Monkey - Monkey Olympic Theme

Taken from the musical “Monkey: Journey to the West” this track is yet another victory by the mastermind responsible for the Gorillaz, Jamie Hewlett & Damon Albarn. The ethnic vocals and beautifully driven techno samples remind why I can still love bands which live in a digital age.


Stunning visuals. Magnificent sound. Its not so hard to put aside you’re actually watching a commercial. In fact this is just the sort of thing I expect to be more common in the evolving music industry – art financed by marketing. Not so surprising when you realize this is where the visual arts have found themselves for the last hundred years.
